You can treat it with DATE_FORMAT() and TIME_FORMAT(), change the format ofMySQL variable, don't have way.
You have to make a explicity convertion.

Try converting the user input to the correct type with STR_TO_DATE(),
which despite its name can return a DATETIME value.
