I started installing Windows 2003 Server on a machine that already had
Windows XP Professional SP2. It told me to reboot. Upon rebooting it wants to boot to Windows 2003 Setup. The keyboard does not respond when I try to use the up arrow to boot to XP. The keyboard will not respond when I hit F1 or F2 or F anything. It tries to boot to the hard disk and ignores the CD and floppy. After the setup program for Windows 2003 starts again I get a BSOD. I tried creating a Win98 setup disk but since the computer does not attempt to boot from floppy this does not . How can I boot to Win XP or stop it from forcing me to boot to Win 2003 Setup and ignore all keboard input? TIA. I figured out the problem already. It seemed like input from the keyboard was not being received so I dusted off the old PS/2 adapters and moved the keyboard from USB to PS2. I can now choose Windows XP again. Phew! |
