IS there a way I can test ad auth in time intervals, for example once every
minute to identify bottlenecks Thanks, Altria |

What sorts of bottlenecks are you looking for?

I am looking for a simple way to see if any delays occur in authentication
process. Really a login and bind check to AD. I am in the middle of a build out for 60 K + user in AD. Need something to see if AD can handle the load for authentication? I might be going about this wrong but are there any tools to use to monitor AD health in this scenario? Mind you that this is testing phase....So i would like to see how AD breaks Thanks, Altria "Al Dunbar" <AlanDrub@hotmail.com.nospaam> wrote in message news:eEAYqn2HJHA.4240@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > What sorts of bottlenecks are you looking for? > > /Al > > "Altria" <urbantec92@msn.com> wrote in message > news:uFwLmT0HJHA.3960@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >> IS there a way I can test ad auth in time intervals, for example once >> every minute to identify bottlenecks >> >> Thanks, >> Altria >> > > |

Well, there are always delays - that is the nature of a network.
IMHO, AD will have no trouble with 60,000 users. But where you might have problems is if the hardware is underpowered. I'd suggest you continue your search in a networking or active directory related newsgroup. Yes, there might be a scripting solution, but from the sound of it you would be better off looking for whatever types of solutions may already exist. /Al "Altria" <urbantec92@msn.com> wrote in message news:%23WCXwljIJHA.3644@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I am looking for a simple way to see if any delays occur in authentication >process.
