I want to test HyperV in a lab and I don't have any spare Proliant's kicking
around. Can anyone recommend a model of HP desktop\workstation that runs Hyper-V? TIA, barkingdog |

You're safest with Intel though. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ I do not work for Microsoft. |

Essentially any 64-bit capable system that supports Intel VT or AMD-V
processors and can do Hardware DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Intel refers to this as eXecute Disable (the XD bit) and AMD calls it No eXecute (NS) and these options are set in the BIOS. There is a GREAT freeware application called SecurAble that you can d/l, run and get a quick answer on your target system: http://www.grc.com/securable.htm Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Windows Server - Clustering MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "barkingdog" <wsalkin@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:OuxU5EelIHA.464@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >I want to test HyperV in a lab and I don't have any spare Proliant's >kicking around.
