I have 2003 Domain Controller on VMware on SAN and another Domain Controller
on the same network. My Domain Controller was down on SAN and it took users 15-20 minutes to authenticate to the network. Can someone me with this where I need to make the changes. I would appreciate any . Infact I need to put this question under Server but for some reason when I click uner that I don't see the option to put in my question. If anyone has the link please send that to me so that I can put the question there too. |

Wow...this could be a time issue, location / availability of FSMO / GC
roles, cached credentials on the users' workstations, Name resolution issues, etc. Are you running AD integrated DNS? Do some basic troubleshooting from a workstation when the other DC is unavailable to determine the exact cause of the issue...ping IP, ping FQDN name, ping NetBIOS name, etc... -- Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Windows Server - Clustering MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "boba" <boba@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FE9028CC-9FF2-4D91-B70B-DDA875527B9A@microsoft.com... >I have 2003 Domain Controller on VMware on SAN and another Domain >Controller > on the same network.
