Install Virtual Machine Addition on Win2k8 Server running under Virtual Server 2005

Hi,

we have setup a Windows Server 2008 without Hyper V running as a VM under
Virtual Server 2005 R2. Are the VM Additions compatible with Win2k8 Server?

No they are not. Additions contain kernel patches and are version and release
specific. In case of 2008 and Vista SP1, you will need new additions.
Plans are to release a supported version for 2008 as a host which will also
contain updated additions for newer OS'ses as guest. Somewhere April but
nothing official.
