I have a vhd that I moved off of one server onto another. The virtual
machine boots up just fine and works as it should other than the network. The computer will pull a DHCP address but will not do anything else. It won't talk to the network after it gets its IP. Any ideas? |

What do you mean it "will pull a DHCP address but will not do anything
else?" What else are you expecting it to "do" that it is not doing? Which network is providing DHCP? Which network(s) is the VM not communicating with? How are your networks configured? What Virtualization platform are you using? VS 2005, VPC, Hyper-V? More information = better assistance here = higher chance of problem resolution for you. :-) Start with basic connectivity vertification procedures (i.e. - pinging IP addresses) and then proceed through FQDN names, NetBIOS names, higher level connectivity verifications (services, applications), etc. Hope this s, --Ryan Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Windows Server - Clustering MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP <omnicore@gmail.com> wrote in message news:dd1fa983-936b-4f6a-b55b-a7b12a6cef4f@8g2000hsu.googlegroups.com... >I have a vhd that I moved off of one server onto another.
