Par défaut Add data to vfd floppy image isn't seen by client (ISO's too?)

Running VS 2005 R2, with XP and Vista clients.

1 )I create a vfd floppy image (winimage), put a file on it, mount it, and
use it successfully from the client OS.

2) I unmount the floppy image in VS (client OS successfully recognizes "No
Floppy")

3) I change the file on the floppy image, and add another file (winimage),
saving it.

4) I remount the floppy image in VS and open the floppy drive in the client

5) *BUG* The floppy has the original floppy data cached (haven't fully
tested - certainly has only the original file listed in XP & Vista's
explorer), not the newly saved data.

If I reboot the host computer (restarting VS) and mount the floppy image
again, I get the right data. If I rename the new floppy image and mount it as
a never-before-seen-floppy-vfd-name, I get the right data.

Is there a way to make VS refresh whatever cache it is using, or is this
just a bug? It seems to assume such images are never changed outside the VM?

Obviously, I have a workaround, but this is irritating when transferring
data files with constantly changing data to my virtual OS when doing "no
network" testing.

(I think I tried CD ISO images as well, and it either had a similar problem
or something else blocked my using it.)

Greetings Joel,

I am pretty sure that the problem here is patience.
When using the host dvd drive, it takes a little time before it is regonized
by the guest machine, it's the same with the floppy..

At least what you describes sounds pretty similar to what I've experienced..

If its not a matter about waiting and refreshing, do ask again

Kind Regards
Jesper
