i am trying to connect a VS Admin Website to another VS install on another
server. It has been recommended that I add some other stuff for this but I am trying to learn about MS Virtual Server so I want to use what I have rather than add more-- at least at this point. I have a Win2003 domain. On a member server name Fserver01 I have installed VS 2005 to include the admin website. I was able to install Win 2003 on the VS and also get it connected to a network card. It is joined to the domain. On another server 'Fserver02' also a Win2003 member server I installed VS without the admin website. I also started the VS services. On a domain controller I setup delegation for services cifs, vssrvc from Fserver01 to Fserver02. I added the fqdn for Fserver02 to the search path for the admin website on Fserver01. When I try to connect from the Fserver01 admin website to the VS install on Fserver02 it will not connect because of "denied access." I am using a domain admin account of Fserver01. Ques: what do I need to check to get this to work? -- |

You need to use the VMRC client or step up to the System Center Virtual
Machine Manager. It sounds like you're scaling your implementation and SCVMM is a great tool and a great way to handle your apparent needs. -- Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Windows Server - Clustering MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "mwebb" <mwebb@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:89E633E5-F7F0-420D-AE61-E8BA3C3B2F8B@microsoft.com... >i am trying to connect a VS Admin Website to another VS install on another > server. > It has been recommended that I add some other stuff for this but I am > trying > to learn about MS Virtual Server so I want to use what I have rather than > add > more-- at least at this point. > > I have a Win2003 domain.
