All,
I created a Virtual Server instance on a Server 2003 box we have. I installed Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 on the box, then added my VS instance (let's call it devbox with a url of http://devbox/clickurl/ ). I loaded my Click-Once application onto the VS instance, and I have a problem with accessing the Click-Once web page. I did set permissions for the site. The url can be browsed inside the VS Instance. Outside of the VS Instance it says "page can't be displayed" , is this a settings or firewall issue to make IIS urls accessible outside of a VS instance? Thanks, TommyO |

Hello Ryan,
Yes, I meant to say that I set permissions for the IIS site. Another piece of info on this. I can't surf from inside the VS instance to the internet. When I do IPCONFIG I get no DNS Gateway address. Since my last postintg I've been working with Network Connection settings, but I have had know success in getting IP access to the outside world. What am I doing wrong with my Virtual Server setup? This all seemed pretty straight forward in the past as I was setting up Virtual PCs (I am new to Virtual Server). Thanks, Tom O "Ryan Sokolowski [MVP]" wrote: > Permissions on the IIS site? > > -- > > Ryan Sokolowski > MVP - Windows Server - Clustering > MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP > > > "TommyO" <TommyO@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:5D97FDE9-A5AE-41B6-8BAB-A6B895C07E10@microsoft.com... > > All, > > I created a Virtual Server instance on a Server 2003 box we have. You must confirm basic network connectivity before moving on to higher layer
functions. Ensure that your virtual network is attached to a dedicated physical network adapter on the Host system and do basic ping tests from another system to ensure that you can reach the virtual guest.
