I just setup a 2008 server (RT) with the included 'Beta' of the Hyper-
V and ran into a problem with the Integrration Services. When servers moved from a pre-release of 2008 with the previous Hyper-V installed are moved onto the 2008 Gold the integration services upgrade crashes the virtuals with a Blue Screen. I had this happen on all 10 of the virtuals I moved from one server to the other. To correct it I had to first remove the Integrration Services and then install the new ones clean. The 'Update Integration Services' doesn't seem to work. It actualley crashed on of my VM's to the point I had to recopy it from the original server. Just thought I'd pass along the info, anyone else run into this yet? |

This confirms what Microsoft has been saying in regard to the Hyper-V Beta
version in W2K8 RC vs. W2K8 RTM. There is no easy way to update. From Hyper-V beta in W2K8 RTM they are supporting the upgrading of the integration services.
