Hi All,
I'm thinking of using MS Virtual Server to run some VMs hosting Active Directory 2003. I don't see why not. Any advice? -- NetAdmin <São Paulo, BR> |

Thanks a lot. I did google, but was not as lucky as you.

This scenario depends on some setup but it can happen. couple pretty simple work arounds; 1) have your host in a Workgroup and not be dependent on the DC's it running, 2) Don't have all DC's running on same host, if you have multiple hosts, 3) have one 'hardware' based DC, so that if the virtuals are down you can authenticate. This would be on top of that MS Document, just some things to think about. Good luck. |

Good luck. > I believe MS considers people will not think about that or even consider not doing it, but it's totally true! I do agree even though they might consider this (or whatever the thought is), they should put in the top of the documentation. |
