Par défaut VMRCPlus "Access is denied" Error

We have been using VMRCPlus (1.6.0.0) to access a machine hosting a number of
Virtual Server VMs. One of the users just tried to access this machine
remotely, and is getting the error "Access is denied. (Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))". She is connected to our corporate
network via SSL VPN. She can access the VS Administrator website
(http://machine.domain.com:1024/Virtu...App.exe?view=1) with no
problems, but can't connect to that same machine via VMRCPlus.

I can't find anything useful via Google. Any ideas what could be causing
this?

VMRC+ does credentials differently from the web interface, and it's likely
they're not getting set sufficiently when logging in via VPN. This is a
limitation of VMRC+ and I don't know a workaround, though maybe one of the
others here will offer a suggestion.

The plot thickens...

Today, she's in the office, on the network, and she's getting the same
error. We have uninstalled/reinstalled/rebooted, and she still gets the
error, so its NOT a VPN issue.

Any ideas out there?????

Just her or are other's having the same problem?
Can she access any other Host using VMRC-Plus?
Has she been able to use VMRC-Plus on this Host in the past?
Does she have VS installed on the local box? If not did she install the COM
components when she installed VMRC-Plus?

Just had someone else install VMRCPlus (1.6) and he's having the same problem.
Neither of these users have ever been able to connect via VMRCPlus.
Both users did the full install, and both have Virtual Server R2 SP1
installed on their machines also.
Trying to connect to one of our servers, they get the error I mentioned
below (Access denied/Exception). However, when they try to connect to one of
the other servers, they get the error "Virtual Server returned 'access
denied' (Code 0). You may have insufficient privileges to connect to Virtual
Server."
The strange thing is that all three of us have the exact (as far as I can
tell) same permissions/rights on both those boxes, and they can both bring up
the Virtual Server administrator web page for those two servers.

This is driving me bonkers!!!!!

I think you need to do the following and see if it s

1) Open VMRC-Plus and connect to the server using your credentials
2) From the menu select Virtual Server and then select Security
3) Add your co-workers or a group that they belong to to the list
4) Give them the appropriate permissions and then apply the changes
5) Have them try connecting

I duplicated the error message your getting and the above is how I corrected
it.

Did you go in and give them permissions first? If they can't connect they
can't give themselves the permissions, some one who can connect needs to do
that for them.

VMRC uses different permissions the the Web Interface. You may also want to
check to make sure they have read/wrrite access to the folders the VMs are
in.
