Hello -
I have been trying for hours to install SQL 2005 Reporting Services without any success. I am running Vista Enterprise and trying to install SQL 2005. I have IIS 7 installed, enabled and it is working. The initial SQL Setup dialog states, "Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is either not installed or is disabled. IIS is required by some SQL Server features....". I have confirmed (over and over) that IIS is running and enabled. I really need to install SSRS...is there any way for me to accomplish this near impossible task? Thanks for any or advice. |

Hello dw,
For Reporting Services, the following IIS components should be installed: Web Management Tools -IIS 6 Management Compatibility -IIS 6 WMI Compatibility -IIS Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility World Wide Web Services - Application Development - .NET Extensibility - ASP.NET - ISAPI Extensions - ISAPI Filters - Common HTTP Features - Default Document - Directory Browsing - HTTP Redirection - Static Content - Security - Windows Authentication Go to Programs and Features from Control Panel and from the "Turn Windows features on or off" ensure that under the "Internet Information Services" you have these components are installed. -- Ekrem Önsoy "dw" <dw@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news E2F7E60-3EBF-4708-96E6-686450BFF3A8@microsoft.com...> Hello - > > I have been trying for hours to install SQL 2005 Reporting Services > without > any success. > > I am running Vista Enterprise and trying to install SQL 2005. Hi...
Finally re-read your reply and figured out what you meant. I turned on the necessary IIS 6 compatibility features, etc. and SSRS installed as planned.
