I can't get past the Server Configuration step of the wizard. I fill in username and password and press "next" and I get the message:
"Invalid or missing username or password. To continue please provide valid credentials for the SQLServer Agent Services." There are other similar messages below that in a drop down for the other services. Perhaps I don't know the rules for a strong password? Or is it looking for a specific username? (I tried computername\username) Thanks |

Hello Burton,
You are probably entering wrong information about the Windows account that you want to use as your SQL Server services' account. Check and recheck the user and password information which you want to use for these services. You are supposed to type only the account name to the UserName field if it's a local Windows account. P.S. Other similar messages verifies that this is an incorrect user details problem. -- Ekrem Önsoy "Burton Roberts" <bhroberts52@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:%23%234pcoetIHA.1328@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl...
