Hi,
SQL Server used to have a Data Transformation Services that made it easy to convert other databases to SQL Server. I cannot seem to find this feature or a substitute in SQL Server 2005 and I need to convert an old Borland/Corel Paradox database to SQL Server. Can you please she some light on that? Thanks |

You are looking for SQL Server Integration Services, if by convert you mean
import. Not suer there is anything to truly convert from Borland to SQL Server. -- Kevin3NF SQL Server dude You want fries with that? http://kevin3nf.blogspot.com/ I only check the newsgroups during work hours, M-F. Hit my blog and the contact links if necessary...I may be available. Correct, I do mean import. I'll try the SQL Server Integration Services. I
have used DTS in 2000 before to convert/import Paradox databases to SQL Server. It's possible that MS has removed that capability from 2005 since Paradox is pretty much no longer supported, but I do have this old database that I need to modernize. I may have to install 2000 if for no other reason than this, then upgrade the converted database from 2000 to 2005 (or maybe 2008) if it's released in time. Thanks for your .
