Hello,
I've a server here with multiple MSDEs and a SQL-Server 2005 installation. Is it possible to delete a named instance of a MSDE (MSSQL 2000) when SQL-Server 2005 is on the same machine? I believe it is, but the SQL-Server 2005 installation (no named instance) is very critical.... Thanks for your advice!!! Yvonne |

They are not supposed to affect each other's configuration if you have a
stable and good configured system. However you better have a B Plan always if it's that critical... -- Ekrem Önsoy <Yvonne.Lebhardt@habmalnefrage.de> wrote in message news:1629715f-6ab8-4bfc-8fbd-eee38ff9b7af@x41g2000hsb.googlegroups.com... > Hello, > > I've a server here with multiple MSDEs and a SQL-Server 2005 > installation. > > Is it possible to delete a named instance of a MSDE (MSSQL 2000) when > SQL-Server 2005 is on the same machine? > > I believe it is, but the SQL-Server 2005 installation (no named > instance) is very critical.... > > Thanks for your advice!!! > > Yvonne |
