Is it possible through GUI or SQL Commands to reconfigure a Named 2005
Instance as the default instance? In the current project i am on, i am upgrading a 2000 instance, so i am installing 2005 next to it as a named instance, will test my apps against the 2005 named instance, then when i am done, will uninstall the 2000 instance and the 2005 named instance then reinstall 2005 as the default instance. I was wondering if there is an easier way so that I don't have to uninstall 2005 and can just reconfigure it as the default instance. Thanks in advance |

I'm afraid not, reinstall would be the way to go. Is there a reason why you can't keep this as a
