I had this isse and none of the solutions I could find online worked.
The problem seems to be that I joined this server to a domain after installing SQL 2005. If I run setup from a domain account in the local administrator group instead of using the local administrator account, it works. This may be because the local Admin account isn't able to resolve the domain account ACLs on some of the objects. |
