Hi
I would like to run sql server on my desktop that runs vista ultimate 64. I am interested in developing my skills from home - i have a msdn licence - so i would like to use sql server 2005 for reporting services, integration services, and analysis services. I need the management studio too. I will not be putting anything into production so i am working in a sort of dev environment. Can someone tell me which 64 bit sql server i should download to use? I tried the enterprise version but that didnt seem to install properly and I cannot start an instance of sql server or connect (see my previous post). Maybe I am using the wrong version??? Doug |

hi
Just found a post from Mark that was answered as... "The problem is that SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition is not supported on any version of Windows Vista series. You may install SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition or Developer Edition on your Vista." so please disregard my previous post and this one - i am now downloading DE.
