Not really sure this is the best place for that question.. but it sounds
like maybe the CD is damaged... try opening that MSI directly rather than
using the auto play or setup.exe

I had the same error, I tried everything, nothing worked until I used
a network install for the shared loaded dvd iso on another PC.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa718687.aspx has
instructions on how to use the networked CDs, the dvd iso is already
setup like the CD setup after following the instructions; so I didn't
have to change anything.

I doubt the CD is damaged, when I had the problem I could copy
vs_setup.msi from the loaded dvd iso to the hard drive manually
without any problem; I don't know what the problem was in my case but
it wasn't because of a bad iso image, I used the same iso for the
network install and it worked fine.
