Hello,
I have been asked to install SQL Server 2005 on a system to implelement a new service management system. I have a server available that this software could be installed on which I thnk should be ok for the job. The database will have a maximum of say 15 people accessing data concurrently and most of this will be to update a record or perform a simple query. The server I am looking at using has the following Spec. Windows 2003 Server Standard R2 Xeon 2.8Ghz Processor 4GB RAM 2 x 36GB 10,000 RPM Disks currently configured as RAID 1. 3 x 76GB 10,000 RPM Disks currently configured as RAID 5. Could anybody offer any advise on the suitability of this hardware. Many thanks Nick |

That really isn't much to go on but if it is only a few transactions per
second and the queries are optimized then it should be OK.If you have all 15 users running queries at the same time the single proc may make things a little slow. But again it's hard to say for sure without real life usage stats. -- Andrew J.
