Hello,
I have a 64 bit AMD processor server running SQL 2000 Enterprise 32 bit version. Would I be able to use more than 4 gigs of RAM? The server does have 16 gigs, but I am unable to go above 4 gigs...is this due to the 32 bit version of SQL perhaps? Thanks in advance, Ben |

Ben,
32-bit Windows cannot use above 4GB directly. You should be able to use AWE memory to get access to the upper memory. Read this article for details: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=283037 Also, pay attention to the limitations, since this memory cannot be used for everything.
