Hi everyone,
My main server has suffered a failure on the boot drive and requires a rebuild. My SQL Server 2000 instance was installed on a seperate drive, I still have this along with my data and log files. However, my question is once I have the OS re-installed, how do I go about recovering these databases (approx 20) and user accounts? If it s, I have have access to an image of the old C drive before it failed and can get to the files within it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Kind regards Taz |

If you're reinstalling the OS and not restoring from backup then you'll need
to install SQL 2000 to the same path along with the spk you were at, then restore the Master, MSDB, and model databases then all your user databases.
