I am trying to install SQL 2005 standard edition. I get stuck when it asks
for an account to start the services with. For testing purposes I have selected the domain adminstrator account and it still does not work. It gives me error 29063 and tells me the password etc could be wrong. I know it is definately not wrong. Does anyone know what else I can try? I definately want to use a domain user account. |

Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft newsgroup! From your post, my understanding on this issue is: You want to know why the process will be stuck when the account is asked for starting a service. If I'm off base, please feel free to let me know. From your description we can only get limited useful information. In order to troubleshoot the problem more efficiently, could you please provide the following information? Questions: 1. What services did you want to start as you described in your post? 2. Please check the error message you sent to us and make sure it's correct. I suggest that you should check the domain account first, the domain name should not be the full name. They should sign like "my-domain-name" Please send us a screenshot in your next new post if convenience. Have a nice day!
