Par défaut How to configure SQL server to use multiple processor

hi,

We have a system with two processors. What settings should we do in sql
server 2000 standard edition to use both the processors. Can anyone suggest?

Thanks
Prem

It will have the potential to use them both by default, you don't need to do
anything.

Hi,

SQL server in the properties window shows the Parallelism property in which
it is asking to specify the number of processor for use in parallel
execution of queries. What should be the values to be provided for this
setting. Also what should be the Minimum query plan threshold value in
this case.

Hoping some more details on this.

Regards
Prem

Change the setting back to "Use all Processors" and leave all other settings
at the defaults. Don't change any settings in SQL Server unless you have a
good reason to and know what it will do.
