Hi,

Is there a way to force Sql Server Express to install on XP Pro SP1?

The easiest way to "force Sql Server Express to install on XP Pro SP1", is
to install Service Pack 2 on Windows XP, and then put in the SQL Server
Express disk and follow the prompts.

SQL Server 2005 requires Windows XP Pro SP2

yes, because sql2005 is based on .net which requires xp sp2.

I was able to install .net 2.0 on SP1 though.
