I am trying to upgrade from Sql 7.0 to Sql 2000 and am having problems with
the vswitch.exe file. I cannot upgrade the error message is:
The specified file cannot be opened as write. Ensure that the file is not in
use and restart setup.
vswitch.exe

I have tried to delete the vswitch.exe file and run the install but the
same error message comes up. Any suggestions?

There was an error with vswitch.exe in Spanish version - check
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303042/EN-US/, maybe the workaroung can
you as well.
