I currently have a 64bit hardware server running a 32 bit version of W2K and
a 32 bit version of SQL Server 2000 Developers Edition. I want to upgare this box to W2K3 64 bit and SQL to 2005 enterprise edition 64 bit. Is this an upgradable path? |

It sounds quite ok.
You may wish to verify your hardware against the HCL at: http://www.windowsservercatalog.com/ -- Arnie Rowland, Ph.D. Westwood Consulting, Inc Most good judgment comes from experience. Since I'll have to upgrade the OS to W2K3 64 bit first, will the 32 bit
version of SQL 2000 still work after the OS upgrade so that I can then do a 64 bit upgrade to SQl 2005? |
