SQL Server 2005 SP1 was installed several weeks ago but somehow SP1 is still
trying to install itself.

Is there a way of backing out SP1 and reinstalling it?

However, please note that during the initial install of SP1, a power outage
caused the server to reboot while the install was attempting to complete.

I dont know the exact answer to this question. But stopping an installation
half way through with a hard reboot is never good. If it was me, I would
back up my databases and uninstall SQL Server and Reinstall it from scratch.

No reason to go months down the road and then realize that the DB isnt
perorming optimally because of a bad install.
