Hi Guys
I ordered MS Sql Server 2005 (x32) Single Processor (MPN 228-04026) the other day. Today I received MS Sql Server 2005 (x64) Single Processor (MPN 228-04019) plus Microsoft SQL server 2005 (x32) Media Kit. (MPN 228-05236). Presumably the idea is that I install the x32 Meda Kit & the X64 version of SQL Server 2005 will 'cover' the license. Is this correct?, would this be considered 'legal' as far as licensing is concerned?. -- Regards Ian |

This is a subject that I have lately discussed with a Microsoft Licensing
Specialist. She told me that, I'd be able to use an x64 SQL Server license if this is an Open License. If it's a box, then I can't. This is what she told me. To be sure, you must call a local Microsoft Licensing Specialist. -- Ekrem Önsoy "Demon" <DoNotSpam@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:galj6a$67o$1$8300dec7@news.demon.co.uk... > Hi Guys > > I ordered MS Sql Server 2005 (x32) Single Processor (MPN 228-04026) the > other day. > > Today I received MS Sql Server 2005 (x64) Single Processor (MPN 228-04019) > plus Microsoft SQL server 2005 (x32) Media Kit.
