We are in the process of migrating a windows server 2003 domain controller
with SQL 2000 SP4 installed to a different domain. At the moment, the SQL service (under Services) logs in under domain\administrator. When this 2003 machine is moved to the new domain, this particular account will not exist. Can I go into services and just change the SQL service account to log on under an account of the new domain or is the process more involved? I've not had much luck finding this information on the internet. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Regards |

This will ensure the correct permissions are applied to the service account for full functionality. -- Hope this s.
