Par défaut Local drives not all showing up SQL backup

SQL Server 2005 Enterpise SP2
Windows 2003 Server Enterprise SP2
Snapdrive software maps LUNs from Netapp

This server has 5 drives that show up local to the server. They are SAN
(Netapp) attached
The OS can read and write to all of the drives
SQL can only see 3 of them.
We noticed this when trying to do a backup through SQL to the Y: drive
All of the drives are configured the same except the space allocated.

E: SQL can read drive
F: SQL can read drive
G: SQL cannot see drive
H: SQL can read drive
Y: SQL cannot see drive

Any appreciated

Dave

I occassionally see this on one of our clusters because the dependencies get
fouled up.

I'll have to ask an obvious question: did you verify at the OS level that Y
is indeed local?

If you use cluster, local drives are not cluster defined resources and of
course SQL, as cluster aware application, won't see them. However, 1 point of
confusion:
xp_cmdshell will see local drives. But as i said backup won't.

The Y drive shows up as local disk by the OS

The drives are in the cluster resource group also.

Any ideas?
