I just bought SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition, it comes with eight
CD's: Three pairs of CD's for 32-bit x86, x64, and Itanium-based installations; an MSDN Library CD; and... The other CD (next-to-last in the box) has kind-of a scalloped design around the edges, it's labeled "SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition" (just like the first six CD's), it says: "This disc contains 32-bit x86, x64, and Itanium-based software." When it autoPlays, it asks me to select my type of OS. When I select x86, it brings up a screen that I think is pretty much the same as that on the "32-bit x86" CD, and it includes a message that this is "disc 1 of 2" even though there's not a second scalloped CD. What's on this mystery CD? My installation seems to have gone well without it, and I don't have a clue about what purpose it serves. Thanks for your ! |

I don't have the same SQL-Server 2005 Developer Edition but this is probably
a DVD with a copy of all the other six CD's. -- Sylvain Lafontaine, ing.
