Hello:
In SQL 2000, you could click on the properties of security and specify SQL to run as a specific account. Do you do this similarly in SQL 2005, simply by opening the MSSQLSERVER servuce in the Services applet and put in the username and password there? Thanks! SQL Programmer (it's just a name) |

Hi
I believe you taking about the Server start-up account. In Sql 2005 you can set the stirrup account using SQL Server configuration manager. To do any server level configuration you need to use the SQL Server configuration manager vinu "SQL Programmer" <SQLProgrammer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:22E39681-B959-4B40-AEE5-2ED3C48274EF@microsoft.com... > Hello: > > In SQL 2000, you could click on the properties of security and specify SQL > to run as a specific account. you goto SQL Server 2005 Configuration Manager and then to SQL Server
2005 Services Options and then Right click(double click) on SQL Server Service (MSSSQLSERVER) and then Properties. In there you Specify THIS ACCOUNT and then the service acocunt name to use. Restart the SQL Service. |
