You can't backup a database while it is being restored.

And nor can you backup a mirror database (assuming the "synchronized" part of the status implies

You can of course backup the principal database. -- Tibor Karaszi, SQL Server MVP http://www.karaszi.com/sqlserver/default.asp http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi "Linchi Shea" <LinchiShea@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:07079304-5263-4B9D-9BD0-A2774FDB4E79@microsoft.com... > You can't backup a database while it is being restored. > > Linchi > > "Jimmy Liew" wrote: > >> Hi all, >> Just a quick one. >> Is it possible for a Full backup job to execute when the particular database >> in the status of "Synchronized/ Restoring". >> >> Please let me know if you don't understand what I mean and need further >> clarification about it. thank you and appreciated. >> >> Best Regards, >> Jimmy Liew >> Junior Database Administrator |
