Hello everyone,
I noticed that my Windows 2000 DNS Server will not answer queries that come from external networks. I tested this setting the corresponding ISA server dns publishing and all the queries timed-out. The same happened when i tried to query the server through a VPN. How can i make the dns server answer to clients other than those in the internal network? Thank you. |

Generally you public DNS server (for you public DNS zones) should be placed (back) at the REGISTRAR. > The same happened when i tried to query the server through a VPN. Is the ISA server somehow forwarding to this server or is it perhaps even blocking the requests? > Thank you. You really should have separate DNS Server(s) for the external world to query. -- Herb Martin, MCSE, MVP Accelerated MCSE http://www.LearnQuick.Com [phone number on web site] |
