I have AD integrated DNS on Windows 2000, my domain is domain.com, how do I
create a record that is not part of my domain, for example if I wanted to create a record for yahoo.com with a specific IP address? |

In general, you are NOT supposed to do that. Yahoo.com is in charge of resolution for ALL of the yahoo.com (and child) domain names. IF you really must override a record, then you can create an (entire) zone for a SPECIFIC name, such as www.yahoo.com. Then you give that zone an A record with a blank host name (same as parent) so that in effect you are setting up a record for JUST that one host name. Were you to override ALL of yahoo.com by creating that entire zone you would have to keep up with every record (you wished to resolve) within that zone/domain.
