Par défaut change administrator password affect dns?

hi all
i have a win2k3 domain
i change the administrator password using alt+ctrl+del
after that
i try to join new computer(its dns ip address refer to ip address of my dns
server) to domain but it doesn't give me the screen of enter username and
password to join but instead give me an error say to check that dns server is
working and it couldn't contact the srv record of the dns server and when i
make nslookup on dns server
it can't find the server name for the dns ip address

so does changing administrator password do it
because everything befor was working succesfully

and what to do to make dns work again

thank you

Hello administrator,

Check under services.msc that DNS server service is using system and not
administrator for startup. Normally changing the password has NO effect on
DNS.
Please post the complete error message and also check event viewer for errors
and post them here.

Best regards

first :
i notice the following
dns server service is starting using local system
dns clien service is starting using this account (nt authority\network
service)
so should i change anything above.

second : event viewer has the 3 following error message

1st: source: dcom
user: nt authority\network service
msg: the application specific permission setting don't grant local
activation permission for com service
security permission can be modified using the component service
administrative tool
2nd: the error message that appear when i try to join computer to domain is
as following:
a domain controller for your doamin couldn't be contacted
the following error occurred ...((when dns was queried for service locator
SRV resource record used to locate a domain controller for your domain
the error was " this operation returned because timeout period expired
the dns server is not responding

3rd:
the dns was unable to complete directory service enumeration of your
zone.this dns is configured to use information obtained from active directory
for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it
check that active directory is function properly and repeat enumeration of
zone

event id :10016
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation
permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{BA126AD1-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20). This security
permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

For more information, see and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

2nd:event id : 4004
The DNS server was unable to complete directory service enumeration of zone
mydomain.com This DNS server is configured to use information obtained from
Active Directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it.
Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and repeat
enumeration of the zone. The extended error debug information (which may be
empty) is "". The event data contains the error.

Par défaut Re: change administrator password affect dns?

thanks for these usefull articles
i try to do netdiag.exe
and it display to me
that i have a network adapter with ip address begin with 192.x.x.x
and netbios over tcp for this adapter is disabled and it's the ip of domain
controller(dns server installed on it)...
and when i open dns console i found a host record for this ip registered for
my domain controller

but really i don't have this ip or this adapter and it's out of my ip
address ranges
i don't know from where it come
and when i try to delete this A record , it return again after restart
i open all my network connection and the advanced option to see if there is
an entry for this ip but nothing found

so how to know if really i have adapter with the above ip address and how to
delete it
or how to enable netbios over tcp for it

i think that problem is all clients refer in their nic to the right dns ip.
but domain controller see that the dns is another one not found so it can't
join a new computer to domain

any idea pls
