Hi
Our company domain name is the same as our website so to access our website I have added a www Host A record with the website IP address and it's working fine. It's also possible to access our website by http://domainname.dk but how do I configure this on the DNS server? /Lasse |

You internal users need to type the full name (or use the typical browser shortcut*) since the Domain Controllers all register the BARE "domain name" and will interfere with using that name for the web service. If you wish to use the bare name (externally) you merely add it with a 'blank' name or 'same as parent' to the zone. * typing the MIDDLE/Main name and pressing Ctrl-Enter automagically adds the Http://www prefix and the ".com" suffix (for COM domains only of course.) -- Herb Martin, MCSE, MVP http://www.LearnQuick.Com (phone on web site) If you use LinkedIn then tell me where you know me from when linking: http://www.linkedin.com/in/herbmartin |

Since your website domain name is the same as your AD domain name, the only way you can do this is with a Proxy server, or by configuring IIS on all DCs to redirect a website for http://domainname.dk to http://www.domainname.dk -- Best regards, Kevin D.
