Is this process will remove remove active > directory and DNS service that is currently running. An "In place upgrade" will not remove any installed services or change settings or affect Active Directory domain membership. That is why it is called an in place upgrade. If you choose the option to install a new copy of Windows, and you install it to the previous Windows installation folder, it will overwrite the current settings. You can also install it to a different directory to gain access to the hard disk, leaving the previous installation intact. -- Best regards, Kevin D.
