We have many sites set up on one computer which will be changing IP addresses
soon as we are moving it in house from the hosting center. Since the IP address will be changing I will obvioulsly need to change the IP address in DNS for each site. They are all the same IP address but the name points to a particular site on the server. How can I change all entries for lets say 192.168.20.2 to 192.168.21.10 without having to go into DNS management and changing them each individually. There are about 438 of these entries. Basically I want to do a search/replace type operation in Active Directory to make these changes. Is this possible? If so, how. Do I need some 3rd party software or is there a microsoft way of handling this? So far any searches I have run in Technet have given me nothing of a clue. Regards, Bill Kirk Network Administrator |

Once done, then save the file, and refresh teh console. Once satisfied they are all changed to 21, make the zone AD integrated again. -- Regards, Ace This posting is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights. To do the steps I outlined you will want to choose one of them to turn the zone into a Primary non-AD Integrated. Let that change replicate throughout the forest, then do those steps, then make the zone AD integrated again. Don't touch the zones on any other DC/DNS while you aer doing this. -- Regards, Ace This posting is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
