How would you go about rebuilding your DNS on a DC with AD if all
records and zones are now gone? As in, nothing in the dnsmgnt but the
dns server service is working. Both AD zones that were automatically
created are now gone. Is there any way to bring itback without makng a
new AD?

First I would want to know HOW this happen?

This does NOT "just happen."

Recreate the zones; make them dynamic; run

NetDiag /fix

....on every DC.

You can also just restared the NetLogon services on each DC but
"NetDiag /fix" seems to be the most certain (although I may just be
superstitious on this point.)
