Par défaut Migrate from BIND to Win 2000 DNS

I just started a new job and both the primary and secondary DNS servers are
on old BIND (8.1.2) Linux boxes. There are two DC's Win2000 SP4. I want to
move the primary DNS to a new Win 2000 server. Make that the Primary DNS.
Then change the IP number of the Win2000 server to the IP number of the old
DNS server and take the old DNS offline. I read in KB 301192 mow to transfer
the Zone and make it the Primary zone. But I must keep the IP number of the
old Linux server. What steps and in what order should I take to replace the
Linux primary DNS with a Windows 2000 primary DNS with the same IP number ?

It wouldn't be that hard. However, if any apps are referencing the DC with a
hard coded IP, or even if anyone is using the IP as a mapped drive, or any
other static IP usage of it, you will need to address that first. Also, if
DHCP is authorized in AD based on the old IP, that is if your DHCP server is
on this DC, you will also need to re-authorize it with the new IP. Make sure
the changes get updated in DNS as well as WINS (assuming you use WINS).
