We keep having unknow IP addresses appearing in the DNS zones' Name Server
tab and can't find the source of it.

Any ideas or hints greatly appreciated.

When a Domain Controller that is running DNS Services is DCPROMO out of a
Domain it can leave a unknow record behind in the Name Server tab. I am
guessing this is what you are seeing - is someone build and blowing away DCs?

Thanks. That has been done. Don't think that is the issue These are
existing, current servers which have the A record in the zone.
