Hi,
We have the AD-integrated zone corresponding to our corporate domain name space, say, comp.corp.com. We have a forest made up of one domain. During these years there have been some domain controllers (W2k and W2003) where we disabled DNS service and reconfigured them to use other DCs from the same domain as DNS servers. As a result, we have now some stale DNS server names on the Name Server tab of the AD-int zone comp.corp.com. We would like to clean it up. I wonder if we can just safely delete those DNS server name records corresponding to the DCs with the DNS service disabled from the Name Servers tab of comp.corp.com. These DCs are still running. Can it cause any harm taking into account that this AD-int zone is supposed to be replicated to all DCs across the domain? Could you please advise. Thank you. |
