We have an automated Client-Staging process which reuses old PC-names if they
are not used anymore. Now my question: if a new windows xp client is using an
already registered name (in DNS) is it possible for the client to update the
dns record. If I check the permissions on a client record is shows me the
client name. So are the permission based on the client name or on SID?
Because if it's based on SID the new client would not have the e permission
to update the existing record, right (because the new client would not have
the same SID as the original client)?
