My ISP is AT&T who does not offer reverse dns service.
I have exchange 2003. When I send an email to AOL.com or COMCAST.NET, their spam filter does the reverse dns check and since at&T does not support reverse dns, our ip address is not resolved and AOL AND COMCAST both rejects our email. AT&T offers reverse dns for T1 line it means I need to upgrade the service with them and my block of ip addresses will be changed. I would appreciate if someone please share their experience and if they have any solution, please post it. Thanks |

They have default PTRs on all their IP addresses, if you have a Static 5 IP account they will delegate. Otherwise, I think they have to host the forward zone to do custom PTRs. Or set up their server as the Smart host. -- Best regards, Kevin D. I recently went through this with AOL and called and yelled at their email
department and they removed the block. Be sure and tell them what a stupid policy this is. Maybe some day they will get a clue.
