I have a windows 2k domain server running dns at my office, one of my sites
is running windows 2003 standard and is a child domain of the W2K server. Everythign was working fine until a few weeks ago when our interenet went down and we had to change the settings on our router to a new wpublic IP address. I can not get the DNS records from the W2K server to load onto the W2003 server (W2K is set as a secondary forward and reverse). I can ping the IP address of the W2K server. The router is the same brand at both ends (netgear VPN) and I can use terminal services from the site to the office just fine, but whenever i try to reload the records either via command line (error rpcserver_s_unavailable 1722). I also seem to be having problems with certain users not being able to print to networked printers. I have the user set up as admininstrator to the ws (XP) and they are assigned full rights to the printers in question (HP printers). I usually have to delete the printer, rerboot, and sign back on, add the printer again and things work fine for awhile, then sometime during the day the user can not print to the printer, looking at the printer installed under printers and faxes, it says access denied. |
