Hi all,

In my company, I installed Active Directory, DHCP and DNS. Clients are not
member of domain. They get IP, gateway and Name Server from DHCP server.

The problem: Those computers which take the IP from DHCP loose the name
server IP address after a few minutes. There is no problem for the computers
which are using static IP address.

Do you have experience in this matter? any would be appreciated.

Check your group policy here:
Computer Configuration
-Administrative templates
-Network
-DNS Client
-DNS Servers
If the policy is enabled you will have to set it to disabled, then run
gpupdate /force on your XP Clients. It is not recommended to set this policy
if you have Laptops unless you place the laptops in an OU without the
policy.
